Lions vs. Bills DraftKings Showdown Picks: TNF Captain, FLEX and Ownership
Lions-Bills TNF DraftKings Showdown picks with Captain rankings, FLEX plays, GPP leverage, ownership estimates and lineup construction.

Lions vs. Bills DraftKings Showdown is a high-total Thursday slate where the obvious stars are strong plays, but salary and ownership make Captain construction the real decision.
CTS Showdown decision board
- Raw ceiling Captain: Jahmyr Gibbs, $18,000 CPT
- Best QB Captain: Josh Allen, $17,100 CPT
- Favorite leverage Captain: DJ Moore, $11,700 CPT
- Receiver Captain: Amon-Ra St. Brown, $15,600 CPT
- Sharp FLEX: Sam LaPorta, $5,400
- Cheap GPP: Joshua Palmer, $3,200
Captain picks
Jahmyr Gibbs, $18,000 CPT
Gibbs has the cleanest combination of volume and touchdown access after 34 Week 1 touches. The issue is construction, not role. Differentiate around him rather than fading a legitimate ceiling solely because he is popular.
Josh Allen, $17,100 CPT
Allen can beat every skill player without one teammate posting a tournament-winning receiving score. His rushing role also lets him capture Buffalo’s most valuable scoring opportunities himself.
DJ Moore, $11,700 CPT
Our favorite leverage Captain. Moore’s Buffalo debut produced five catches for 100 yards and a touchdown on eight targets. His Captain salary creates enough savings to preserve another real role instead of forcing a near-zero punt.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, $15,600 CPT
Fourteen Week 1 targets and two touchdowns give St. Brown the concentration we want from a receiver Captain. Pair him with Jared Goff in the primary version.
Jameson Williams, $11,100 CPT
Nine Week 1 targets keep the ceiling alive despite a modest box score. His path to a long touchdown makes him a true large-field volatility Captain.
Best FLEX and sharp plays
Josh Allen $11,400: first FLEX priority in most builds because rushing and touchdown equity protect his ceiling.
Jahmyr Gibbs $12,000: strongest Detroit one-off when we do not want a full passing stack.
Jared Goff $9,600: popular and well correlated with Detroit receivers, but the offensive-line injuries add downside.
James Cook $9,400: a direct way to bet against Allen capturing every Buffalo touchdown.
Sam LaPorta $5,400: our favorite sharp FLEX. Eight Week 1 targets plus a mid-range salary create one of the slate’s better role-to-price combinations.
Dalton Kincaid $6,800: the 130-yard opener puts his ceiling on the board, but he is no longer hidden.
GPP plays
Joshua Palmer $3,200: preferred cheap tournament receiver. One downfield catch or touchdown can be enough.
Isaac TeSlaa $3,800: route participation without Week 1 production creates a useful tournament disconnect.
Dawson Knox $2,800: touchdown-or-bust salary relief.
Ty Johnson $2,000: conditional value only if active.
Bills D/ST $3,600: uncomfortable in a high total, but Detroit’s offensive-line injuries create sack and turnover paths.
Ownership breakdown
Good chalk: Gibbs. The role is strong enough to justify the popularity.
Tough chalk: Goff. Detroit can score through Gibbs rushing touchdowns or concentrated receiver production without Goff becoming necessary at heavy FLEX ownership.
Best leverage: Moore at Captain. His overall popularity can still coexist with a meaningful Captain ownership discount to Gibbs and Allen.

CTS core
Josh Allen FLEX, DJ Moore Captain exposure and Sam LaPorta FLEX. Gibbs remains the raw-ceiling play. Our favorite tournament construction is a receiver Captain paired with his quarterback while using the savings for another legitimate role.
