Jeremiyah Love, Rashee Rice and Tre Harris are out for Sunday, October 18. Friday’s Week 6 injury reports also leave several backfields unsettled, creating two jobs for DFS players: remove the confirmed absences and keep workable alternatives for the questionable players.

Status snapshot: Friday, October 16, 3:55 p.m. ET. These are Friday designations; check subsequent team updates and Sunday inactives before locking a lineup.

Love out: Allgeier gets the Arizona start

Love will miss Arizona’s visit to the Rams with an ankle injury. The Cardinals confirmed Tyler Allgeier will start, with Bam Knight backing him up. Coach Mike LaFleur said there has been no discussion of injured reserve.

Allgeier now has a confirmed starting assignment to build around. That makes him worth comparing with other running backs in the same salary range once you open your contest’s player pool. The unresolved question is how much of the rushing, receiving and goal-line work he gets. Knight’s presence matters, and the starting label alone cannot answer those workload questions.

For betting, revisit any Arizona rushing or touchdown angle built around Love playing. Allgeier’s role is clearer, but his prop still needs a reasonable line and price. Avoid treating a replacement starter as an automatic over.

Rice and Harris out; McConkey has no designation

NFL.com’s Friday roundup lists Kansas City’s Rice and the Chargers’ Harris out with hamstring injuries for their matchup. Ladd McConkey has no injury designation after his foot issue; KeAndre Lambert-Smith remains questionable with a hamstring injury.

Remove Rice and Harris from your player pool. For a Chiefs passing stack, reconsider which available receiver best fits the scoring outcome you are targeting. An absence can redistribute opportunities across several players, so do not simply transfer Rice’s expected production to one teammate.

McConkey is an option to evaluate in Chargers builds and as an opposing receiver in a Chiefs stack. His designation removes one availability concern, but it does not establish his target count or make him a value at every salary. Lambert-Smith’s final status could change which alternatives are available.

Questionable players to keep on the Sunday checklist

The same official roundup reports these unresolved designations:

Keep these decisions conditional. A questionable tag is enough reason to prepare a pivot, but it does not establish that a player will miss the game or that a teammate will inherit a full workload.

How to handle the news before lock

Build alternatives that actually fit your remaining salary and roster positions. If a decision is still unresolved when earlier games lock, preserve later-game options where your contest’s rules allow it. A theoretical replacement is no help once that player’s game has started.

For props and game totals, separate the confirmed absences from the unresolved cases. Reassess the offense with the players currently expected to be available, then compare that view with the actual market. Friday injury news can change the case for a bet without leaving a favorable price to take.
