Marvin Harrison Jr. Officially Inactive vs. Lions: Week 5 DFS Impact
Marvin Harrison Jr. is officially inactive against Detroit. Michael Wilson and Trey McBride lead Arizona’s DFS receiving options, with Kendrick Bourne expected at WR2.

Updated October 11, 2026: Marvin Harrison Jr. is officially inactive for Arizona’s Week 5 game against Detroit. The Cardinals confirmed his absence on Sunday’s final inactive list and said Kendrick Bourne is expected to line up as WR2 behind Michael Wilson. Rookie Reggie Virgil is also active for the first time.
The inactive designation follows Saturday’s report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter, citing information shared with Ian Rapoport, that Harrison would sit while the Cardinals worked toward a trade.
Schefter’s follow-up says no trade will be completed until after Sunday’s games. The Texans have held trade talks and are in the mix, but Houston has not been confirmed as his destination. A final return has not been announced.
NBC Sports, citing ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, reported that Harrison missed the Cardinals’ Saturday-night team meetings. Sunday’s inactive announcement now confirms he will sit, but it does not announce a completed trade, destination or return.
Sunday DraftKings impact
Remove Harrison ($4,400) from any still-unlocked Sunday Main Slate lineup spots now that his inactive status is official. Michael Wilson ($6,200) and Trey McBride ($6,700) remain Arizona’s leading receiving options, with Jacoby Brissett ($5,500) the quarterback to pair with them in Cardinals stacks.
This does not justify handing either receiver a huge automatic projection boost. Wilson already has 44 targets through four games, McBride leads Arizona with 33 catches, and Harrison has only five receptions, according to the Cardinals’ Friday preview. Wilson’s appeal starts with the workload he already owns.
What changes for Arizona
Bourne’s expected WR2 role puts him on the tournament radar, but a larger route share does not guarantee targets. Virgil’s first active game adds another receiver to the rotation. Wilson and McBride remain the clearest receiving pieces for Detroit-Arizona game stacks, with Brissett also active.
Protection still matters: rookie Jayden Williams is replacing injured left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. A smaller group of established targets does not erase that risk for Brissett.
What happens next
Harrison’s game status is settled: he is inactive against Detroit. The remaining trade questions are his destination, compensation and a completed transaction. Houston’s involvement remains a reported possibility; wait for a confirmed move before changing Texans projections.
