Joshua Palmer Out vs. Rams; DJ Moore Questionable for MNF | NFL Week 5
Joshua Palmer and Ed Oliver are out for Bills-Rams on Monday. DJ Moore is questionable, while Skyler Bell is set for his debut. Here's the DFS impact.

Joshua Palmer will miss the Buffalo Bills’ Monday night game against the Los Angeles Rams with a shoulder injury. Buffalo’s Saturday injury announcement also lists DJ Moore as questionable with a shoulder injury and defensive tackle Ed Oliver as out with a knee injury.
The Bills visit SoFi Stadium on Monday, October 12, at 8:15 p.m. ET. Palmer’s absence removes one of Josh Allen’s receiving options and makes Moore’s availability a central question for Buffalo’s passing game.
Skyler Bell set for his NFL debut
Rookie receiver Skyler Bell is in line for his first NFL appearance. In Buffalo’s Saturday report, coach Joe Brady said Bell will be active and has offensive plays planned with Palmer sidelined. Bell had also been taking Moore’s plays in practice earlier in the week.
That gives Bell a clearer opportunity than he had entering the week. The size of that role remains uncertain, particularly while Moore’s status is unresolved. Buffalo has not announced a snap count or target allotment for Bell.
DraftKings Showdown impact
Remove Palmer from Bills-Rams Showdown lineups, including any builds using his $3,000 FLEX salary. His price may still appear in the player pool, but he has been ruled out.
Khalil Shakir ($7,000 FLEX), Dalton Kincaid ($6,600) and Keon Coleman ($5,600) are the other Buffalo pass catchers to weigh when rebuilding. Palmer’s absence creates room for more involvement, although those opportunities could be spread across several players. Moore playing would leave a different target distribution than Moore sitting.
Bell costs just $200 in FLEX. That salary can help fit premium players, but a debut with an uncertain workload carries a real risk of very little fantasy production. Treat him as a tournament consideration rather than assuming the cheapest receiver will absorb Palmer’s work.
Oliver out; Moore is the next checkpoint
Oliver’s absence also takes a defensive lineman out of Buffalo’s rotation against Matthew Stafford and the Rams. It is another matchup factor to consider without assigning a fixed scoring boost to Los Angeles.
Brady said Buffalo will give Moore until game time to determine whether he can play. Monday’s inactive list is the next important checkpoint. Revisit the Bills-Rams Showdown projections before lock, with particular attention to how Buffalo’s receiving roles change if Moore cannot play.
