Deebo Samuel Ruled Out vs. Seahawks With Hamstring Injury: Week 6 DFS Outlook
Deebo Samuel exited Sunday's 49ers-Seahawks game with a hamstring injury. How his Week 6 status could change Brandin Cooks, Jordan Watkins and Mike Evans in DFS.

Deebo Samuel was ruled out of San Francisco’s October 11 game at Seattle after suffering a hamstring injury in the third quarter. The 49ers wide receiver was hurt on a running play and did not return. Sunday’s designation applies to that game only. San Francisco has not announced whether Samuel will miss additional time.
The 49ers’ next game is Monday, October 19, at home against Washington. Updates from the team and its next injury reports, rather than Sunday’s in-game ruling, will determine his status for Week 6.
How it changes San Francisco
The receiver group was already depleted entering Seattle: Ricky Pearsall, Demarcus Robinson and De’Zhaun Stribling were on injured reserve. Mike Evans, Brandin Cooks and Jordan Watkins were among the available wideouts after Samuel left. Jacob Cowing also hurt an ankle Sunday but returned to the game, according to coach Kyle Shanahan. His availability for the Washington game is still to be determined.
Samuel’s absence would remove both a receiver and a player used on designed carries, creating a more complicated vacancy than replacing one wideout with another. San Francisco has not announced who would inherit those touches.
Week 6 DFS consequences
If Samuel cannot play against Washington, Cooks and Watkins move up the watchlist for receiving opportunities, while Evans becomes an important candidate for a more concentrated passing role. George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey are also worth reassessing for short-area passing work, but none has been promised additional targets or a specific workload.
If Samuel is cleared, much of that vacancy-driven appeal fades. An active-but-limited return could still leave more room for the other receivers, but that is a conditional scenario, not a team-announced plan.
