Kickoffs are confirmed by the official previews from Baylor, Vanderbilt, Miami and BYU.
Baylor -5.5, with a firm limit
Covers listed Baylor -5.5 at DraftKings (-110), checked October 16 at 1:14 p.m. ET.
Baylor has a two-way case. The Bears entered 4-1 after holding every opponent to 20 points or fewer. DJ Lagway threw for 306 yards and four touchdowns in the 55-19 win at Arizona State. That combination gives Baylor a route to build a lead and protect it. Baylor's official preview
TCU's defense is the obstacle. It has allowed 13.4 points and 255 yards per game, so Baylor may have to earn every bit of the margin. Three defensive takeaways helped turn the Bears' last win into a blowout. A closer game is the more demanding test, and both teams had a bye.
Friday, October 16, 10 p.m. ET availability update: The Big 12 report now lists Baylor's Garrick Ponder available, with Devonte Tezino still out. Available is not a final Saturday lineup or a workload guarantee. Confirm the final report; a later Ponder downgrade or another material defensive absence moves this to a hold. Official Big 12 report
The limit is -5.5 at -110 or better. Do not chase -6.5, -7 or a more expensive -5.5. A six-point win covers the preferred number.
Junior Sherrill over 81.5 receiving yards
Covers listed Junior Sherrill over 81.5 receiving yards at DraftKings (-105), checked October 16 at 1:14 p.m. ET.
Sherrill owns 529 of Vanderbilt's 1,372 receiving yards, a 38.6% share, on 33 catches. His six outputs are 70, 94, 108, 95, 107 and 55. Jared Curtis threw 34, 33 and 32 passes in his last three starts, supplying a solid opportunity base. Curtis did not play against Georgia between those starts. Vanderbilt statistics
Arkansas has conceded 1,217 passing yards on 153 attempts, 7.95 per throw. Sherrill is well placed to benefit if Vanderbilt attacks that weakness. Arkansas statistics
The concern is how often Vanderbilt throws. Arkansas opponents have averaged only 25.5 attempts per game, helping keep its passing yards allowed to 202.8 per game. A Vanderbilt lead or an effective running game could reduce Curtis's opportunities. Sherrill's 55 yards last week is a reminder that the workload still has to turn into production.
Sherrill and Curtis were not listed on Thursday's SEC report. Receiver Kahden Smith was out. Keep this at 81.5 and -105 or better, and pass if the line rises or either Sherrill or Curtis is materially limited. Official SEC reports
Malachi Toney over 99.5 receiving yards: lower conviction
BettingPros’ October 16 article listed Malachi Toney over 99.5 receiving yards at FanDuel (-114), checked October 16 at 1:08 p.m. ET.
Toney has 39 catches for 604 yards, accounting for 29.5% of Miami's receptions and 36.1% of its receiving yards. Florida State has allowed 244.7 passing yards per game and 7.89 per attempt. Miami's leading receiver has a favorable matchup if his workload holds up. Miami statistics | Florida State statistics
The caution starts with the Clemson game. Toney had 40 yards, and Covers reported that he had been playing below full health. His 234-yard opener also inflates the season average: the other four games average 92.5. Barkate gives Miami another receiving option, while Florida State's 18 sacks could disrupt the passing game. Covers' analysis
Saturday, October 17, 5 p.m. ET availability update: The ACC game-day report lists Malachi Toney available. Available does not guarantee an unrestricted workload, so this remains a lower-conviction lean at 99.5 and -114 or better. Confirm the actual sportsbook offer and any late workload news; a credible restriction or adverse update makes this a hold. Official ACC game-day report
Saturday weather watch: The National Weather Service forecast for Hard Rock Stadium, updated October 17 at 4:02 a.m. EDT, gives a 63–71% chance of precipitation from 7–10 p.m., with thunderstorms possible. Recheck the forecast and official game updates before acting on this receiving prop; the existing price and workload conditions still apply.
Notre Dame at BYU: pass
BYU entered 5-0 after allowing ten points apiece in wins over TCU and Iowa State. That defense deserves respect. We have not found a strong enough price-specific case to back a side or total here. BYU's official preview
The later kickoff is worth watching without adding another wager.
Bottom line
Protect the Baylor number, keep Sherrill tied to his usual opportunity level and treat Toney's workload news seriously. The two receiving props also appear in our player-prop article, so count them only once in the night's budget. No touchdown parlay makes the card without a verified combined offer worth recommending.
