MLB DFS Picks Today: DraftKings Main Slate Picks for September 6

Sunday brings a nine-game DraftKings MLB slate starting at 1:10 PM ET. There is a clear top-end pitching option, but enough salary relief across the hitter pool to build around premium bats without completely sacrificing upside elsewhere.

For every position, we’re highlighting a ceiling play, a value and a GPP target, followed by the stacks I want most on the September 6 slate.

Slate take: Skenes has the best combination of strikeout ceiling and matchup. Holmes gives us meaningful salary relief without dropping all the way into the questionable arms, while Scott is the tournament play if his strikeouts come through at lower ownership.
Why Skenes leads the slate: His 3.98 ERA comes with a much stronger 3.24 xERA and 3.07 FIP. The Angels have ranked last in MLB in wRC+, wOBA and xwOBA since the All-Star break while also carrying one of baseball’s highest strikeout rates.

Position read: Jensen is the upside swing if we’re paying at catcher. Realmuto’s $3.1K tag is much easier to fit around premium bats, while Rutschman gives tournaments a mid-range option in a favorable offensive environment.

Position read: Devers stands out because the salary has not caught up to the current heater. Gasper is usable relief, while Pasquantino gives us a lower-owned power bat that also works inside Kansas City stacks.

Ezequiel Duran $4,000
Position read: Marte offers the cleanest combination of contact, power and lineup position. Loftin makes expensive builds easier, while Duran gives us a tournament path into Texas without paying for the most popular bat in the lineup.

Isaac Paredes $3,900
Position read: Ramírez remains one of the few hitters capable of breaking a slate with either power or speed. Genao is the salary unlock, while Paredes fits naturally when building Houston for tournaments.

Jeremy Peña $4,900
Position read: Witt is the premium spend and carries the highest all-around ceiling at shortstop. Giménez lets us save more than $3K from the top, while Peña is an excellent correlation piece if Houston is your tournament stack.

Yordan Alvarez $6,400
Position read: PCA brings the best raw combination of power and speed and enters Sunday with six home runs in seven games. Lukes is one of the slate’s easiest salary-saving pieces, while Alvarez always brings multi-homer tournament upside.
Favorite Bat
Rafael Devers • $4,900
Devers is hitting .420 with a 1.537 OPS since August 24 and has six home runs in his last six games. At under $5K, the ceiling is hard to ignore.
Ceiling Watch
Pete Crow-Armstrong • $6,700
Crow-Armstrong has gone deep six times in his last seven games. Tyler Phillips’ 3.43 ERA is backed by a 4.63 xERA and 42.7% hard-hit rate.

Favorite Stacks

TOP STACK
Toronto Blue Jays
Toronto plays in one of the best run environments on the slate and can be built several different ways. Giménez and Lukes also give the stack enough cheap pieces to make premium pitching work.
STACK NO. 2
Chicago Cubs
PCA supplies the obvious ceiling, but Chicago’s appeal is not limited to one hitter. The pricing makes a full Cubs stack much easier to pair with Skenes than several other premium offenses.
GPP STACK
Houston Astros
Alvarez gives Houston the centerpiece, while Peña and Paredes make the stack easy to correlate. Houston is the offense I want when looking for upside away from the most obvious chalk.
