Sacramento center Maxime Raynaud injured his right knee in Saturday’s preseason loss to Golden State and was preparing for an MRI after the game. The Kings ruled him out for the rest of the 111-106 loss. No diagnosis or recovery timetable was provided in the postgame reporting.

Raynaud had 10 points and five rebounds in nine minutes before leaving. His injury creates a new availability question for Sacramento, but it does not yet establish how long the Kings might be without him.

What it means for Kings DFS decisions

If Raynaud misses time, Sacramento will need to redistribute his frontcourt work. Domantas Sabonis and Precious Achiuwa are part of that frontcourt picture, but neither should receive an automatic minutes boost in DFS lineups before the Kings clarify their rotation. Raynaud’s replacement could be a shared role rather than one direct beneficiary.

The immediate DFS priority is to confirm Raynaud’s game status, then check who is available and how coach Doug Christie plans to use his big men. A preseason injury alone cannot establish a reliable regular-season minutes projection.

Sacramento next hosts Portland on October 13 at 10 p.m. ET; its regular-season opener is October 21 at the Clippers. A medical update and the Kings’ next rotation decisions will determine whether this becomes a meaningful value opportunity.
