NFL Week 7 Cowboys vs. Eagles DraftKings Showdown: MNF DFS Picks and Captain Pool
MNF DraftKings Showdown picks for Cowboys vs. Eagles: Captain options, exact salaries, Philadelphia value and conditional Saquon Barkley scenarios.

CeeDee Lamb gives us the clearest established receiving ceiling in Cowboys–Eagles, while Philadelphia’s missing receivers make Makai Lemon one of the most important salary decisions. Saquon Barkley is active. His workload remains the key Philadelphia backfield question, and paying for him changes the money available for Dallas’ stars.

This DraftKings Showdown slate covers Dallas at Philadelphia on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 8:15 p.m. ET. We use one Captain and five FLEX players under the $50,000 cap. Captain costs and scores 1.5 times his FLEX amount. Philadelphia’s final inactive list is reflected below; an active designation does not guarantee a full workload.
Our starting points
Premium Captain: CeeDee Lamb.
Quarterback anchor: Dak Prescott.
Salary relief: Makai Lemon, with Jake Ferguson and Darius Cooper offering different scoring paths.
Decision to weigh: active Saquon Barkley’s workload.
Injury decisions that change the slate
- Tanner McKee starts for Philadelphia. Jalen Hurts is on injured reserve. Do not build around Hurts because his name still appears in the salary file.
- DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks are out. Dallas Goedert is cleared after a full Saturday practice. Hollywood Brown also practiced fully.
- Barkley is active. The Eagles confirmed his availability on their final inactive report. That does not guarantee an unrestricted workload.
- KaVontae Turpin is out for Dallas. Do not translate that absence into a guaranteed full-time role for a minimum-priced receiver.
Monday roster update: Philadelphia activated Grant Calcaterra and Eli Stowers from Injured Reserve and elevated Elijah Mitchell. Calcaterra and Stowers cost $200 FLEX/$300 Captain; Mitchell costs $3,000 FLEX/$4,500 Captain. Calcaterra, Stowers and Mitchell are active, but their snaps and touches remain uncertain. Landon Dickerson is also active; Jakorian Bennett remains out on Injured Reserve. Philadelphia’s inactives are DeVonta Smith, Dontayvion Wicks, Nolan Smith, Michael Carter II, Jake Majors and emergency third quarterback Cole Payton. Official final inactive report.

Captain pool: pay for the scoring path
| Player | FLEX salary | Captain salary | How we would use him |
|---|---|---|---|
| CeeDee Lamb / DAL | $11,000 | $16,500 | Preferred established receiving ceiling |
| Dak Prescott / DAL | $10,400 | $15,600 | Passing touchdowns spread across multiple receivers |
| George Pickens / DAL | $9,000 | $13,500 | A cheaper Dallas receiver ceiling than Lamb |
| Javonte Williams / DAL | $10,600 | $15,900 | Dallas-control and rushing-TD builds |
| Dallas Goedert / PHI | $6,400 | $9,600 | Philadelphia passing-game concentration |
| Saquon Barkley / PHI | $9,600 | $14,400 | Active; workload still matters |
CeeDee Lamb: our first premium Captain
Lamb leads Dallas with 48 catches for 577 yards and four receiving touchdowns. Pickens has 33 catches for 428 yards and one score. We are paying for the stronger established production base with Lamb, not assuming that the gap guarantees the same result Monday. At $16,500 in the Captain slot, he needs to lead the game’s scoring rather than simply have a good night.
Prescott is the natural first partner for a Lamb Captain. Lemon’s $3,800 salary makes that combination easier to fit without dropping immediately to an uncertain $200 player. Pickens can join them when the build explicitly bets on Dallas passing for several touchdowns; he does not have to be forced into every Lamb lineup.
Dak Prescott: the touchdowns can be shared
Prescott costs $900 less at Captain than Lamb. He becomes more attractive when we expect passing touchdowns to reach multiple teammates rather than one receiver producing an overwhelming individual score. Lamb plus Ferguson, or Pickens plus Flournoy, gives that construction a specific way to work.
Dallas’ own preview identifies protection as an important issue after recent struggles against pressure. Philadelphia has usually preferred to rush without sending extra defenders, but that is a tendency, not a promise about Monday’s calls. We should not write off the Eagles’ pass rush just because Dallas’ receivers look appealing.
George Pickens and Javonte Williams: two different Dallas wins
Pickens saves $3,000 compared with Lamb at Captain. That can buy a more credible final roster spot. His case is an explosive receiving performance, ideally paired with Prescott. Our early estimates put him below Lamb in Captain ownership, but he is not an overlooked play.
Williams is only $400 cheaper than Lamb in FLEX. His 85 carries for 317 yards and seven rushing touchdowns show why that price needs scrutiny: touchdowns have been a major part of his production. He also has 19 catches, so the role is not restricted to handoffs. We prefer him at Captain in builds where Dallas finishes drives on the ground and Philadelphia has to answer through the air.
Goedert and Barkley: Philadelphia alternatives
Goedert is available and costs $9,600 at Captain, substantially less than the Dallas stars. With Smith and Wicks out, he is an appealing way to bet on Philadelphia’s receiving production concentrating in fewer hands. Pair him with McKee rather than treating a cheap Captain as an excuse to ignore the quarterback benefiting from his catches and touchdowns.
Barkley is active at $14,400 Captain. A substantial role would give him a Philadelphia rushing-ceiling path. If his workload remains uncertain, the discount to Dallas’ top options does not erase that risk.

McKee: volume is useful, efficiency still matters
McKee completed 26 of 45 passes for 215 yards and a touchdown in his first start of the season. That gives us a useful passing-volume route at $8,600, but 45 attempts did not produce a large yardage total. We prefer him as a FLEX partner for Philadelphia receiving stacks rather than assuming that a backup quarterback is automatically underpriced.

FLEX values: Lemon, Cooper and Ferguson are different bets
| Player | FLEX salary | Captain salary | How we would use him |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tanner McKee / PHI | $8,600 | $12,900 | Quarterback correlation with Philadelphia receivers |
| Makai Lemon / PHI | $3,800 | $5,700 | Preferred low-cost Philadelphia receiving entry |
| Darius Cooper / PHI | $3,200 | $4,800 | Explosive/TD route, smaller reception base |
| Jake Ferguson / DAL | $4,400 | $6,600 | Affordable Dallas touchdown alternative |
| Ryan Flournoy / DAL | $5,000 | $7,500 | Midrange Dallas passing stack option |
| Hollywood Brown / PHI | $2,800 | $4,200 | Cheaper receiving alternative; do not assume a full role |
| Dameon Pierce / PHI | $7,600 | $11,400 | Conditional backfield option, not a cheap automatic plug |
Lemon is our first Philadelphia salary-saver. The Eagles identify him as their primary receiver option with Smith and Wicks unavailable. His season line is 18 catches for 127 yards without a touchdown. That supports a different argument from simply chasing last week’s scorer: we want the affordable route to catches, while acknowledging that his existing yardage production is modest.
Cooper is the higher-variance alternative. Eight catches for 139 yards and four touchdowns give him more demonstrated explosive scoring, but four touchdowns on eight receptions is not a sustainable weekly assumption. At $3,200, he can complement Lemon in a Philadelphia passing build. Using both also concentrates risk in McKee’s offense, so make that a deliberate choice.
Ferguson fits Dallas stacks at $4,400. His 17 catches for 115 yards and three scores show a touchdown-sensitive profile rather than a large yardage base. He costs less than Flournoy’s $5,000 and Aubrey’s $5,400, which makes the last-slot comparison interesting: a receiving touchdown can separate Ferguson, but the cheaper salary does not establish a safer floor.
Flournoy has 23 catches for 234 yards and a touchdown. He is a credible alternative when stacking Prescott without using both expensive receivers. Brown costs $2,800 and has practiced fully, but availability is not evidence of a large target share. He belongs behind the better-supported options unless new role information changes that comparison.

Barkley is active: workload drives the backfield decisions
With Barkley active: Treat him as a separate ceiling decision, then assess how much of Pierce’s work remains. Paying $7,600 for Pierce while also assuming Barkley has his usual lead role is difficult to justify without unusually strong role evidence.
Archived pre-inactives contingency, not the current slate: Pierce becomes more relevant, but his price is already meaningful. His season rushing line is 23 carries for 49 yards and one touchdown. Opportunity can improve, but it should not be described as a proven efficient role. Confirm which other backs dress before assigning all available work to one player.
If Barkley is active with unresolved workload: Keep multiple constructions available. We would not convert a favorable practice report into a precise touch split. An Eagles passing build is another way to use Philadelphia without needing to settle that split in advance.
Projected Captain and FLEX ownership
Final inactive update, October 26, 2026: The current table includes Grant Calcaterra, Eli Stowers and Elijah Mitchell following Philadelphia’s roster moves. Philadelphia’s final inactive list confirms all three are active. Their snaps and workload remain uncertain.
These are early CTS analyst ownership estimates for large-field DraftKings GPPs, not actual contest ownership. They are uncalibrated expert forecasts and remain conditional on final availability. Low-volume players carry greater uncertainty.
Primary scenario: Barkley active with a substantial role
Barkley is confirmed active. This table still assumes a substantial role, which the active designation alone does not establish. These analyst estimates are not measured contest ownership.
| Player | FLEX salary | Captain ownership | FLEX ownership |
|---|---|---|---|
| CeeDee Lamb | $11,000 | 27% | 41% |

| Eli Stowers | $200 | <1% | 8% |
| Elijah Mitchell | $3,000 | <1% | 2% |
| Camden Brown | $200 | <1% | <1% |
The current estimates cover 29 active players, including Calcaterra, Stowers, Mitchell and Camden Brown. Captain ownership totals 100% and FLEX ownership totals 500% before rounding; displayed columns may not sum exactly. These remain uncalibrated analyst forecasts, not measured ownership. Active status does not guarantee workload.
Build around a game story
- Dallas passing success: Lamb or Prescott at Captain, another Dallas receiving option, and Lemon or Goedert on the other side. A second expensive Dallas receiver needs to earn his place over a stronger final roster spot.
- Dallas controls the game: Williams at Captain with a Philadelphia passing return. Cowboys DST can fit that script, but combining several Dallas touchdown scorers still requires enough points to support them.
- Philadelphia keeps pace through the air: Goedert or a deliberately aggressive Lemon Captain with McKee, plus a Dallas player whose role benefits from a competitive game.
- Barkley leads an Eagles win: With Barkley active, consider him at Captain with a Dallas passing return if your build assumes a substantial workload. This construction should reflect a meaningful rushing role, not merely an active designation.
Lamb at Captain with Prescott, Goedert and Lemon costs $37,100, leaving $12,900 for two FLEX spots. That is a useful starting shell, not an instruction to copy the same six players. The salary structure allows sensible choices without immediately reaching for a reserve player.
Kickers, defenses and the final roster spot
Brandon Aubrey costs $5,400, Jake Elliott $4,800, Cowboys DST $4,000 and Eagles DST $3,400. Compare them with the receiving options in the same range rather than treating kickers as automatic salary relief. Aubrey costs more than Flournoy and Ferguson; Elliott costs more than Ferguson and Lemon.
A kicker can work when an offense sustains drives but settles for field goals. A defense needs sacks, turnovers or a scoring play to separate from ordinary offensive production. Dallas has only one interception this season, so a backup-quarterback matchup alone does not establish a strong takeaway floor. We prefer a clear game-script reason for either choice instead of adding both defenses or several low-ceiling slots merely to afford a premium Captain.

Our final starting point
Start with Lamb’s established receiving ceiling, Prescott’s passing correlation and Lemon’s price. Pickens offers a different premium receiving route; Goedert is our preferred Philadelphia pass-catcher to consider at Captain. Williams and Barkley require distinct rushing-game arguments, with Barkley’s still conditional.
Before lock, exclude inactive players, revisit Philadelphia’s uncertain workload split and make sure the final lineup tells a coherent story. Monday’s final roster news matters more than forcing a Sunday-night assumption to survive unchanged.
