NFL Week 7 Cowboys vs. Eagles Best Bets: Monday Night Football
Cowboys -4.5 leads our Monday night card, with Javonte Williams and the total evaluated against Philadelphia’s injuries.

Dallas remains my Monday night side. Philadelphia has ruled DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks out, while Saquon Barkley is active for his return from a hamstring injury. Dallas Goedert’s improved status gives the Eagles a useful counterweight.
The four picks
- Cowboys -4.5 (-108)
- Javonte Williams anytime touchdown (-160)
- CeeDee Lamb 80+ receiving yards (-118)
- Dallas Goedert 40+ receiving yards (-183)
First-touchdown longshot: Jake Ferguson (+1400).
Kickoff: Monday, October 26 at 8:15 p.m. ET. Play the four main picks separately; they share game-script risk rather than forming an independent four-leg parlay.

Best bet: Cowboys -4.5
Jalen Hurts remains on injured reserve. Philadelphia’s Saturday report rules Smith and Wicks out. Barkley and Goedert are active. Barkley’s workload after the hamstring injury remains uncertain. That leaves McKee short at receiver, but with a better tight-end outlook than Friday suggested. Hurts roster move · Saturday injury report.
I am backing the more established quarterback and receiving options to create enough separation. The important counterpoint is that Dallas has not earned the right to be trusted blindly: the offense scored just 29 points over its last two games, and protection problems against extra rushers have been a major reason. Cowboys matchup notes
Javonte Williams anytime touchdown
This is a scoring-role bet, not a bet on a breakout rushing total. Williams has seven rushing touchdowns despite averaging 3.73 yards per carry. He scored in each of Dallas’ last two losses, on only 12 and 11 carries. His recent production shows why a touchdown can be the better fit than asking this running game to suddenly become efficient. Williams game log
The downside is that Dallas still has to reach scoring range, and a passing touchdown can finish the same drive. Philadelphia’s front is capable of winning at the line. I like Williams as the Dallas finisher, but his price already reflects that role.
CeeDee Lamb 80+ receiving yards (-118)
Lamb is my receiving-yard play on the Dallas side. He has 48 catches for 577 yards through six games, and his nine catches last week showed Prescott was still finding him even when the offense struggled. I like backing that established connection rather than needing Lamb to score. His 153-, 112- and 189-yard games earlier this season show the upside when Dallas sustains drives. Lamb game log
This is a rebound call, not a hot-streak claim: Lamb finished with only 9 and 70 yards in the last two games, and has reached 80 in three of six. Philadelphia has allowed the league’s sixth-lowest completion percentage, so extra coverage and another stalled Dallas performance are real risks. The case is Lamb’s role and ability to pile up catches, not an easy opposing secondary. Eagles matchup notes
Dallas Goedert 40+ receiving yards (-183)
Goedert gives us a play on Philadelphia’s passing volume without needing the Eagles to win. He caught six passes in each of his last two games, producing 38 and 61 yards. With Smith and Wicks out, I expect McKee to keep leaning on his experienced tight end for manageable completions. Goedert returned to full practice Saturday and is active tonight. Goedert game log · Final practice report
The risk is efficiency, not just opportunity: six catches still left him below 40 against Jacksonville. His knee flared up last week, and Barkley’s return could shift work toward the run. Calcaterra and Stowers are also active after being activated from injured reserve, adding competition for tight-end routes; their exact workloads remain unknown. I still prefer this attainable yardage line to asking Goedert for a touchdown. It can fit a Dallas-leading game in which Philadelphia has to keep throwing.
The total: what changed
Our original under angle was 44.5; the October 26 morning board shows 43.5, so the total is off the main card. Philadelphia’s uncertainty at the skill positions makes sustained scoring harder to trust, and Dallas has its own protection and rushing issues. McKee attempted 45 passes against Carolina but finished with 215 yards. Volume alone did not turn into an efficient offense. Eagles Week 6 recap
There is a strong argument against this bet: Dallas’ defense has allowed 20 or more points every game this season, and a healthy Barkley would have a much friendlier matchup than Philadelphia’s recent offensive results suggest. Goedert’s availability gives McKee another answer, and Barkley’s return makes the under less appealing, although his workload remains uncertain. Eagles matchup statistics
What changes the matchup
Barkley is active; his workload remains a swing factor. Jalyx Hunt and Jonathan Greenard are also active, strengthening Philadelphia’s defensive options and adding a counterweight to the Dallas side. The Eagles have activated Grant Calcaterra, Eli Stowers and Landon Dickerson from injured reserve, and elevated Elijah Mitchell and Keyshawn James-Newby from the practice squad. Jakorian Bennett is out and remains on injured reserve. The final Eagles inactive list clears Goedert, Calcaterra, Stowers, Dickerson and Mitchell to play, but does not establish their workloads. Eagles roster moves. Eagles final inactives. The NFL’s final Monday report lists Dallas WR KaVontae Turpin, OT Drew Shelton and LB Dee Winters out; the Cowboys have since ruled LB Marist Liufau and S P.J. Locke out, with both remaining on injured reserve. DeMarvion Overshown and Cobie Durant have no game designation and are medically cleared. Cowboys roster update. Same-game parlay idea
Cowboys moneyline + Javonte Williams anytime touchdown. This is the compact version of a Dallas-controlled game: the Cowboys win, and Williams finishes one drive. The moneyline avoids needing a five-point margin, while leaving the total out gives us room for a late Philadelphia score.
Check that the two legs can be combined at your sportsbook; no combined price is quoted here. Dallas can win through its receivers instead, so this adds scoring risk to the side. It is a different bet from playing either selection on its own.
Longshot idea: Jake Ferguson first touchdown (+1400)
Ferguson is the longshot idea, with +1400 displayed on DraftKings Network when observed October 26 at 9:44 a.m. ET. Three of his 17 catches have gone for touchdowns, which makes one early scoring reception a more plausible route than asking him for a big yardage night. Ferguson’s game log
The downside is substantial: he has not scored in three games and has not caught more than four passes in a game this season. Dallas has several other finishers, and an Eagles touchdown before Ferguson gets his chance ends this bet. This belongs well below the main picks in confidence.
