College Football Betting Picks | Week 10: November 6, 2026
College football picks for November 6: Illinois +4.5, Jennings 2+ passing TD and conditional USF–ECU under 39.5 analysis.

November 6 update: The conditional prop Kevin Jennings to throw 2+ touchdown passes replaces the earlier Virginia Tech spread pick. Illinois +4.5 remains on the card. South Florida–East Carolina under 39.5 remains conditional on the final quarterback and availability review. Play Jennings only if the exact 2+ passing-touchdown selection remains available and his normal starting role is confirmed; otherwise pass.
Illinois offers underdog appeal, Jennings supplies the player prop, and South Florida–East Carolina remains a conditional under.
Friday’s card pairs Illinois’s pass protection and receiving production with Kevin Jennings’s passing-touchdown production. Virginia Tech’s spread is no longer a selection. In Greenville, the stronger case is for a defensive game, although South Florida’s unresolved quarterback situation keeps the under conditional.
These are editorial selections, not simulation outputs. The Jennings market was observed on DraftKings Network on November 6; confirm the exact selection and final availability at your sportsbook.
The Friday betting card
- Illinois +4.5 versus Nebraska, 8 p.m. ET on FOX. The home underdog has a credible path to a close game through pass protection and receiving production. Illinois market.
- Kevin Jennings 2+ passing touchdowns versus Virginia Tech, 7 p.m. ET on ESPN. Two touchdown passes are required; rushing touchdowns do not count. Conditional on the exact selection remaining available, his normal starting role and final availability; otherwise pass. DraftKings Network prop board.
- South Florida at East Carolina under 39.5, 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Conditional on the final quarterback and availability review. USF–ECU market.
Illinois plus 4 and a half
Illinois does not need to win outright for this ticket to cash. At +4.5, a field-goal loss or a four-point loss still covers. That cushion is the reason to prefer the spread to the moneyline against a Nebraska defense capable of controlling long stretches.
The Illini’s offensive line gives the home underdog a plausible answer to that pressure. Illinois ranks 13th nationally in sacks allowed, yielding one per game, and ninth in tackles for loss allowed. Collin Dixon has supplied a reliable receiving threat with 60 catches, 781 yards and 10 touchdowns. Illinois also enters on a three-game conference winning streak and is 15-4 at home since the start of 2024. Those facts support a competitive-game case, rather than an assumption that Nebraska’s defense will suddenly stop working. Illinois game preview.
The strongest objection is substantial: Nebraska leads the nation in third-down defense and sits among the top 15 in total defense, scoring defense and sacks. Its three straight defeats were all one-score games, so treating the Huskers as a collapsing team would overstate the evidence. Nebraska game preview.
For Illinois to cover, protection has to translate into enough manageable third downs and sustained possessions. If Nebraska repeatedly forces obvious passing situations, the home-field case will matter much less. The selection is Illinois +4.5, which includes protection against a four-point defeat.
Kevin Jennings 2+ passing touchdowns
Jennings is the replacement for the Virginia Tech spread pick. DraftKings Network’s college football prop board lists 2+ passing touchdowns for tonight’s matchup. This means at least two touchdown passes, not two total touchdowns. The published board is a dated market observation; play only if this exact selection is still available at your sportsbook; otherwise pass.
The case starts with sustained scoring production. Jennings has thrown at least two touchdowns in seven of eight games, including each of his last five. He has 21 touchdown passes this season. That history supports the selection, but seven successes in eight games is not a forecast of tonight’s probability. Jennings’s game log.
The ACC’s official preview credits Jennings with 301.8 passing yards per game and a 73.7% completion rate. Those figures support SMU sustaining drives through the air. Virginia Tech’s pressure is the clear risk: the Hokies rank first nationally in tackles for loss and sixth in sacks. Jennings was sacked six times at Syracuse last week, so this is a modest-confidence conditional pick, not a mismatch. Sacks, stalled drives and rushing scores near the goal line can all keep him below two passing touchdowns. The selection depends on his normal starting role and final availability; no final all-clear is claimed.
South Florida at East Carolina under 39 and a half
South Florida’s recent final scores can overstate what its offense has produced. The Bulls scored only three offensive touchdowns across their past two games, while their defense contributed three touchdowns. USF has allowed 14.5 points per game through eight contests. That combination makes a low-scoring game plausible, but defensive touchdowns are also a reminder that an under can lose without either offense performing well. USF’s official preview.
East Carolina gives the argument a second side. The Pirates allow 3.4 yards per rushing attempt, and their offense ranks 103rd in total yards. Their passing game has generated only two 200-yard performances this season, one against an FCS opponent. Those limitations favor drives that stall rather than a game that requires USF to trade touchdowns. Underdog Dynasty matchup preview.
Michael Van Buren’s availability remains unresolved in the verified USF report. Luke Kromenhoek replaced him against UAB and added a running dimension. Do not describe Van Buren as ruled out or assume the replacement automatically makes the offense worse. USF’s official preview says the American Conference availability report will arrive a few hours before kickoff. Review that report and the final defensive availability news before treating the under as a bet.
The conditional selection is under 39.5. Turnover returns, short fields and overtime are the main ways a defense-led matchup can still exceed this modest total. The unresolved quarterback situation remains a football reason to wait for the final report.
No additional player prop
Jennings is the only player prop on this card. Luke Reynolds is not an additional recommendation.
Keep the number attached to the pick
Illinois +4.5 and Kevin Jennings 2+ passing touchdowns are the current selections, with Jennings subject to the stated role and availability conditions. The USF–ECU under 39.5 remains conditional until the quarterback picture and final availability reports are reviewed. There is no need to combine the card into a parlay.
No win probabilities, simulated records or expected returns are claimed. Bet only where legal, keep stakes within a preset entertainment budget and never chase losses.
