Six best bets
Utah -4.5
BYU at Utah, noon. DraftKings. Line source.
Devon Dampier averaged 247 passing yards and 62 rushing yards across his last three games, giving Utah two ways to sustain drives. Wayshawn Parker is active, while BYU running back LJ Martin remains questionable and is expected to try to play. A return could strengthen BYU’s ground game, so Utah’s case cannot rest on his absence. Matchup and availability. Friday Martin update.
The pick is Utah -4.5. The rivalry setting is the main reason to expect a competitive game.
Missouri +2.5
Texas at Missouri, noon. Fanatics. Line source.
Ryan Wingo has been upgraded to probable, while Cam Coleman remains questionable and Hollywood Smothers is out for the season. Wingo’s improved outlook strengthens Texas’s receiving group, so the uncertainty now centers on Coleman. Friday availability update. Missouri has leaned on Jamal Roberts, whose recent workload reached 25.7 carries per game. Ahmad Hardy’s return changes the distribution: Eli Drinkwitz has indicated a larger rotation, so this is a case for Missouri’s rushing options rather than projecting Roberts’ recent volume unchanged. Texas’s strong run defense remains the counterargument. Friday receiver updates. Matchup report · Missouri rotation update.
The pick is Missouri +2.5, backing the home underdog to keep the game close.
UCLA at Minnesota under 38.5
Noon. DraftKings. Line source.
UCLA allows 13.4 points per game, while Minnesota presents an above-average pass defense. The Bruins are operating with Ty Dieffenbach after Nico Iamaleava’s season-ending injury, and Wayne Knight’s recent rushing efficiency has declined. That favors defensive stops over an explosive scoring exchange. Personnel and matchup.
A short field or defensive touchdown is the main risk to under 38.5.
LSU -6
Alabama at LSU, 3:30 p.m. BetRivers. Line source.
Sam Leavitt averaged 317 passing yards over his last three games, providing the main case for LSU. Alabama’s Ryan Coleman-Williams remained questionable on Thursday’s report, but Friday reporting now expects him to play; Ezavier Crowell remains questionable. Coleman-Williams’ expected return weakens the injury-based edge for LSU, and his availability and workload still need a final check. Matchup and availability · Friday Coleman-Williams update.
The pick is LSU -6. A six-point win pushes.
Oregon at Ohio State under 45.5
3:30 p.m. DraftKings. Line source.
Dante Moore is out for the season and Julian Sayin is out. Ohio State’s defense grades strongly against both the pass and run, while Oregon offers another difficult defensive matchup. Oregon is also without Jordon Davison. Full-season offensive averages therefore provide a poor shortcut for this game’s personnel. Matchup and injuries.
Jeremiah Smith can still generate an explosive score. The pick remains under 45.5.
Houston -10.5
Cincinnati at Houston, 3:30 p.m. DraftKings. Line source.
Conner Weigman is active and averaged 289 passing yards over his last three games. Cincinnati allows 282 passing yards per game, giving Houston a direct way to attack the weaker unit. Cincinnati can answer through Cole Tabb, but Houston presents a tougher rushing matchup. Matchup and roles. Houston’s official preview also lists a run defense allowing 100.5 yards per game.
The backdoor is the main concern in a high-total game. The pick is Houston -10.5.
Independently selected parlays
No leg repeats a straight bet from this article or the companion Night Bets article. Each ticket uses one selection per game. The tickets overlap with one another, so playing all three concentrates exposure rather than diversifying it.
Each parlay combines selections from separate games. All legs must win for the full ticket to win; a push changes how the ticket is settled.
Three leg parlay
- Georgia -3.5, at Ole Miss, 7:30 p.m. Line source.
- Tennessee -5.5, versus Kentucky, 6:15 p.m. Line source.
- Miami +7.5, at Notre Dame, 7:30 p.m. Line source.
Georgia has a strong run defense facing an Ole Miss offense without Kewan Lacy. Tennessee can lean on DeSean Bishop’s sustained rushing workload. Miami gets more than a touchdown despite other established weapons around Darian Mensah; Malachi Toney’s reported absence is a significant reason to prefer the cushion over the moneyline. Georgia context, Tennessee context, Miami context.
Four leg parlay
- Georgia moneyline.
- Tennessee -5.5.
- Miami +7.5.
- Texas Tech -16.5, versus West Virginia, 9:30 p.m. Texas Tech line source.
Georgia’s moneyline removes the need for a four-point win. Texas Tech supplies the fourth leg against a West Virginia pass defense allowing 318 yards per game. Receiver absences and West Virginia’s rushing production make the big favorite a volatile addition. Texas Tech matchup.
Five leg parlay
- Georgia moneyline.
- Tennessee -5.5.
- Miami +7.
- Texas Tech -16.5.
- Oklahoma +6.5, at Florida, 7:45 p.m. Oklahoma line source.
Oklahoma’s defense supplies the case for staying within one score. Florida’s weaker scoring defense also leaves John Mateer a plausible route to answering, although Oklahoma’s receiving injuries keep this out of the straight-bet card. Matchup and availability.
Miami +7 differs from +7.5: a seven-point loss pushes instead of winning that leg, and the sportsbook recalculates the parlay.
