College Football DFS DraftKings | October 3, 2026: Main Slate
DraftKings college football DFS picks for October 3 with QBs, RBs, WRs, values, stacks and an example lineup.

The supplied DraftKings file gives us a 12-game main slate. Every salary below comes directly from that file, and OUT players are excluded. The goal is not to jam the highest averages into one lineup. We want ceiling, correlation and enough salary flexibility to build lineups that can actually separate.
Quarterbacks
Top-end target
Weigman brings the ceiling we want when paying up at quarterback. He is coming off a six-touchdown performance and gives Houston an offense we can comfortably build a full stack around.
Pair with: Amare Thomas for ceiling or Patrick Overmyer when you need salary relief.
GPP ceiling
Taylor’s dual-threat profile is exactly what we want in tournaments. Alabama is a difficult matchup, but that can create the volume and aggression necessary for a slate-breaking quarterback score if Mississippi State hangs around.
Pair with: Anthony Evans III, with an Alabama bring-back when salary allows.
Favorite salary-adjusted QB
Simmons is where the slate starts to open. His price leaves room for premium skill players, while the matchup gives Missouri a reason to lean into the passing game. He has enough downfield volume to beat this salary without needing a rushing touchdown.
Pair with: Cayden Lee first, Donovan Olugbode as an alternate, and Jadan Baugh as the natural Florida bring-back.
Tournament pivot
Daniels carries a 24.8 DK average in the supplied file at only $6,500. That puts him squarely in the GPP pool when builds concentrate around the obvious quarterback environments.
CTS angle: Use the savings to materially upgrade another position.
Running Backs
Raw ceiling
Baugh is expensive for a reason. He has 600 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns through four games, giving him both volume and touchdown equity. The multi-score ceiling is real enough to justify the price.
Construction: Easier to reach with Simmons at QB than with two premium quarterbacks.
Mid-range priority
Bothwell is our preferred bridge between Baugh and the cheaper backs. He keeps a lineup balanced without forcing us to surrender upside.
Price-adjusted target
A 19.7 DK average at $6,300 keeps Flora firmly in play. He does not need to become the slate’s highest-scoring back to make the salary work.
Favorite value RB
Kromah’s 21.2 DK average jumps off the supplied file at this salary. His workload gives him a cleaner path to volume than many backs around him.
CTS angle: One of the easiest ways to unlock an elite receiver without punting another slot.
Wide Receivers
Slate-breaking ceiling
Smith is the premium receiver we are most willing to pay for. Iowa can make the matchup difficult, but Smith’s role and explosive ability mean he does not need a perfect offensive environment to post the score that separates tournaments.
Favorite stack piece
Lee carries a 24.6 DK average in the supplied file and fits naturally with Simmons. The combination is cheap enough to preserve flexibility while still giving us a concentrated passing-game bet.
Leverage environment
Evans gives us a way to attack the Alabama-Mississippi State game without forcing the most obvious build. His 24.0 DK average keeps the ceiling attractive at a mid-range salary.
Volume target
Buchanan gives us access to Michigan’s passing game at a salary that works with stars-and-scrubs or balanced construction.
Value Plays
A 16.5 DK average at $4,500 makes him one of the cleaner salary-saving receivers in the file.
Cheap Mississippi State exposure that works especially well in Taylor stacks.
Our preferred cheap Houston attachment when a Weigman build needs savings.
A tournament salary saver that creates enough room to pair premium pieces elsewhere.
Stacks We Want
Houston: Weigman + Amare Thomas or Patrick Overmyer.
Missouri-Florida: Simmons + Cayden Lee, with Baugh as the bring-back.
Alabama-Mississippi State: Kamario Taylor + Anthony Evans III, with an Alabama bring-back for game correlation.
Ohio State: Julian Sayin + Jeremiah Smith. Expensive, but the ceiling is obvious.
How We Are Building
Favorite balanced start: Simmons + Kromah + Lee. That core leaves enough salary to make a real decision at the top instead of filling the final three spots with desperation punts.
Favorite ceiling spend: Jeremiah Smith. Favorite expensive RB: Jadan Baugh. Favorite GPP quarterback: Kamario Taylor. Favorite value: Ousmane Kromah.
Example Lineup
QB Austin Simmons $6,700
RB Ousmane Kromah $5,900
RB Aiden Flora $6,300
WR Cayden Lee $6,300
WR JJ Buchanan $5,800
WR Sanfrisco Magee $5,000
FLEX Devin McCuin $5,600
S-FLEX Conner Weigman $8,400
Total: $50,000
The example is a construction guide, not a lineup we expect everyone to copy. The important piece is the structure: one strong correlation, multiple players with real volume, and enough ceiling left at receiver to win rather than merely cash.
